Saying the date out loud feels crude and prickly, even though I was very far from the event that took place eleven year ago. I was just coming from school and turned the TV on to realize that all the channels were streaming the same event. I cannot even imagine what these people had to go through and my heart is with them today.
I have been to New York around September 11 for the past few years and witnessed the courage and the diligence - as well as the heartache that covers the city.

Wow, great photos of the Freedom Tower. It must be so amazing to see it in person. Years, and years ago I remember seeing the World Trade Center towers as a boy. I could see them from my Grandmothers back window. I will never forget how they looked. Thanks for capturing this moment in time.
