Some people become self centered because they have closed their heart to compassion. They become motivated only by what they want and what they think they need that they forget to listen to other people or do anything for anybody else.
I wanted to share the following verse with you today :
"My dear brothers, take note of this : Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry"
James 1:19
What this verse means to me is that we need to be more sensitive to what the person we hope to help need, not just give a quick opinion or word of encouragement. Instead we can take the time to hear someone with our own heart and show that person that we really care.
