Breastfeeding with a cold

Urghhhh so for the past 2 days I have been sick. Runny nose, sneezing and headaches. It is horrible to not be able to kiss my little love like I usually do. But fortunately I am still able to breastfeed.

Because your body makes antibodies as soon as you catch a cold (3 to 5 days before you realized it), your Baby has already been exposed and is safe from getting whatever illness you have. so by continuing to breastfeed you are keeping your baby safe from your illness. Do not stop breastfeeding unless you are taking some sort of medication or if you feel that you are so sick that you can't even get up ( you should call your doctor anyway !).

I really feel that my little Love notices the difference from the real me and the sick me ... he seemed sad today because I was not holding him or kissing him as much as I usually do. how do you guys do when you are sick ? do you still kiss them ?

Anyway, I hope I will feel better tomorrow .

Love,

Sarah
